While we were camped in the village Meeru in Ladakh for a festival, we set up a makeshift studio in a small room to take up portraiture of the people who had arrived to take part in the festival.
Among the many kind men and women who agreed to pose for the photographs, was this very patient old gentleman in a traditional attire and a prayer bead always in his hands. There was no provision of a tripod and we took the photographs handheld, holding breath to avoid camera shake and making use of light coming from the only window in the room.
Today after many months, got a chance to have veteran photographer Ashok Dilwali Sir add his magical post processing touch to the photograph and the results came out very well. Feeling happy and privileged to share this portrait with you all…
